Author, anthologist, editor and lecturer Jason Erik Lundberg is here to help you wrangle your words, characters and world-building into something unforgettable. This course in self-editing will enable you to be analytical and ruthless to make your fiction shine and give it the best shot at publication. Peer critiquing with a partner is involved, so be prepared for some tough love; you will need to bring a printed-out complete (but unpublished) short story of no more than 2,000 words. Cancellation Policy
The programme can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the date if the minimum number of participants is not met. Participants will be fully refunded for programmes cancelled by us.
Participants who are unable to attend a programme they have registered for are to inform us of the reason two weeks before the programme date. They will be fully refunded in the event of extenuating and mitigating circumstances (E.g. illness, bereavement, accidents). Those who did not turn up at the programme will not receive a refund. About the Speaker
Jason Erik Lundberg was born in New York, grew up in North Carolina, and has lived in Singapore since 2007. He is the author and anthologist of thirty books, including A Fickle and Restless Weapon (2020), Most Excellent and Lamentable (2019), Diary of One Who Disappeared (2019), Carol the Coral (2016), Strange Mammals (2013), Embracing the Strange (2013), The Alchemy of Happiness (2012), Fish Eats Lion (2012) and Fish Eats Lion Redux (2022), Red Dot Irreal (2011), the bestselling six-book Bo Bo and Cha Cha children’s picture book series (2012–2015), and the award-winning biennial Best New Singaporean Short Stories anthology series (est. 2013). He served as Fiction Editor at Epigram Books for nearly twelve years (where the books he edited won multiple awards, and made various year’s best lists), as well as Founding Editor of LONTAR: The Journal of Southeast Asian Speculative Fiction (2012–2018). His writing has been anthologised widely, honourably mentioned twice in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror, and translated into half a dozen languages. He currently lectures on contemporary publishing, editorial theory & practice, and creative writing at Nanyang Technological University, and his new novel, Languishing Under Glass, will be released in late 2026 by Penguin Random House (Southeast Asia).
