Sinopsis
Artist Sharing Session by Lip Chiong - Reflecting on the making of "Constructing Selves: Faces of a Shifting Form"
"Everyone is an artist." - Joseph Beuys
The desire to express ourselves creatively makes each of us human and unique. Yet, humanity is at an existential crisis as the exponential rise of AI technology disrupts almost everything in our human construct, including how we construct our self- identity. This project ponders how the Other shapes our quest to find our authentic inner self.
The artist recounts the making process from original problem statement to the idea of enacting an experiential journey representative of identity building, the development of textual and visual prompts leading to staging of a multi-disciplinary showcase of digital and AI video art, installation, sound and dance performance. He reflects on how fellow human collaborators interacted with one another across disciplines, medium, as well as with AI tools, challenges encountered, as well as lessons learnt from this journey.

Movement Workshop by Ricky Sim - Spontaneous Bodies: Improvisation, Adaptation, and AI Dialogues
This workshop invites participants to deepen their improvisational instincts and sharpen adaptive thinking for contemporary practice. Students will engage with AI- generated prompts — words, images, and phrases — treating technology as a catalyst for creative response. Emphasising process over product, the workshop nurtures playful risk-taking, fluid transitions between solo and group work, and responsiveness to shifting dynamics. Reflection and discussion will deepen awareness of movement choices, broadening each student's creative vocabulary and building resilience for interdisciplinary, future-facing dance.
Ideal Participants:
Dance and performance-making students who are curious about improvisation, open to experimentation, and eager to explore technology as a creative partner.

Highlights
Amid the rapid evolution of AI, Constructing Selves: Faces of a Shifting Form delves into how technology intersects with human identity, reshaping how we create, communicate and understand ourselves. The work reenacts a quest for identity by exploring questions of authenticity, memory and digital influence—examining how AI both challenges and expands the boundaries of selfhood and creative expression. Blending live performance with immersive media, the piece unfolds as a poetic reflection on identity in motion. Audiences are invited into a multi-dimensional, contemplative experience that explores transformation, vulnerability and the dynamic interplay between flesh and code.
