Bengkel/kelas induk penulisan awam ini menawarkan sesi kritikan berfokus yang menumpukan kepada cerpen pemenang Anugerah Golden Point. Peserta akan terlibat dalam perbincangan mendalam mengenai teknik penulisan fiksyen, meneroka seni naratif, pilihan gaya, dan strategi penceritaan. Sesi ini juga memberikan pandangan tentang bagaimana penulis boleh memposisikan karya mereka dengan berkesan untuk menonjol dalam pertandingan sastera. Sesi ini akan berlangsung dalam Bahasa Melayu. This public writing workshop/masterclass offers a focused critique session centered on award-winning short stories in Malay Language. Participants will engage in in-depth discussions on fiction writing techniques, exploring narrative craft, stylistic choices, and storytelling strategies. The session also provides insights into how writers can effectively position their work to stand out in literary competitions. The programme will be conducted in Malay Language.

The programme can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the date if the minimum number of participants is not met. Participants will be fully refunded for programmes cancelled by us.
Participants who are unable to attend a programme they have registered for are to inform us of the reason two weeks before the programme date. They will be fully refunded in the event of extenuating and mitigating circumstances (E.g. illness, bereavement, accidents). Those who did not turn up at the programme will not receive a refund. Upon registration, you are deemed to have read and understood the terms and conditions and cancellation policy and accept the terms contained therein. Dr. Mawar Safei is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), specializing in creative writing and literary criticism. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honours (1995) and Master of Arts (1997) from UKM, followed by a PhD in Comparative Literature from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2006.
Mawar has published several volumes of short stories (including Zel (1998), Montaj II (2002), Masitah (2007/2009) and Narasi Gua dan Raqim (2014)), many academic articles, and has received numerous literary awards such as the Utusan Melayu-Public Bank Literary Prize, Hadiah Sastera Perdana Malaysia, and the S.E.A. Write Award (2018).
Farihan Bahron is a Singaporean writer and co-founder of the publishing outfit Unggun Creative. He has received numerous accolades, including the Anugerah Harapan (Promising Award) in 2017, the Singapore Literature Prize in 2018, 2022, and 2024, and the Anugerah Persuratan (Malay Literary Award) in 2020/2021 and 2023.
His creative works—spanning poetry, short stories, and novels—have consistently excelled in literary competitions such as the Golden Point Award (2003, 2015) and Mencari Kristal (2016). In 2023, he was honoured with the Penghargaan Sastrawan Muda (Young Laureate Appreciation) by MASTERA Indonesia (Southeast Asian Literary Council).
Farihan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Malay Language and Literature from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (2024) and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Malay Studies at Universiti Malaya.
Dr Noridah Kamari is the co-owner of the publishing company Unggun Creative. She received her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Malay Literature from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2019. She was awarded the Anugerah Harapan (Promising Award) in 2013 and the Anugerah Persuratan (Literary Award) for poetry in the years 1999, 2001, 2003, 2007, and 2009. Her poems have been featured in several local and regional poetry anthologies.
She is also the author of a children’s book titled Negeri Setengah Jalan (2015) and a poetry collection Gigi Nadim Masih Rongak (2020). Two of her novels, Buku Tahunan and Membina Istana Di Angkasa, were published in 2023. In addition to book publishing, Noridah has led several periodicals such as Sekata (by the Malay Language Council of Singapore) and KayuApi (by Unggun Creative). Noridah also serves as an adjunct lecturer at two local universities.
