• Traces the old and new of the Queenstown neighbourhood. Named after Queen Elizabeth II
• Queenstown was planned by the British in 1952 as Singapore’s first satellite town and self-sufficient housing estate located outside the city centre with its own amenities, schools, shops, markets, cinemas, and places of worship
• This public housing model was then fine-tuned and replicated across the island
• Anecdotes and old photos will be shared to rekindle memories of the past as the participants journey through the largely modernized neighbourhood.

I have been developing and conducting heritage trails under Tapestry Trails www.facebook.com/tapestrytrails. I am also an STB licensed guide and a polytechnic lecturer. I love to research and share stories from everyday SG neighbourhoods to help people connect with the past. I aim to make history alive and draw upon collective memories of SG to spark conversations.
