Discover Chinese orchestral music with Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) - Singapore’s only full-time professional Chinese orchestra. Bring your loved ones to enjoy live music performed by more than 80 finest musicians.
Emeritus Conductor Tsung Yeh returns to centre stage with SCO in a concert of landmark works from his tenure as Music Director. Opening with Zhao Jiping’s Celebration Overture, the programme revisits music tied to SCO's growth and international presence. Highlights include Liu Xijin’s gaohu concerto Legend of the Merlion, featuring Li Baoshun, and the dizi concerto Wilderness, featuring Yin Zhiyang. Also featured is Law Wai Lun's The Celestial Web, first presented under Maestro Yeh's baton at the 2003 Festival Gala. This concert honours a defining legacy and offers it in gratitude to the community that journeyed with SCO.
