After a resounding success and a memorable inaugural event in November 2025, Rehbar is back with Rumaaniyat to Singapore with its ‘Grand International Mushaira’. Rumaaniyat has continued to enchant discerning audiences in Dharamshala (March 2026) and the USA (May 2026) as well and is pleased to continue its annual journey in Singapore.
This year Rehbar is hosting Rumaaniyat on the 5th of September — and Singapore will be transformed into a sanctuary of lyricism and eloquence, where soulful poetry rendition will create an evening of rare cultural splendour. The setting — the elegant Stephen Riady Auditorium, NTUC Building — with its superb acoustics and refined ambience, offers the perfect canvas for this celebration. This year the stage will light up with icons of the Shayari world — Janaab Waseem Barelvi Sahab and Janaab Farhat Ehsaas sahab — both living legends who bring out decades of life experiences and Urdu poetry performances in simple, easy to connect language which will forever stay in your hearts!
They will be accompanied by 6 more poets across ages and gender - from youth poets to senior poets - and their poetry, ghazals and ashaar will leave you asking for more. Through the evening expect a moving tapestry of ghazals, nazms and couplets, weaving themes of love, longing, relationships, philosophy, humour, wit and social reflection — which will resonate with everyone. The Mushaira is not just a recital; it is an interactive experience where the audience becomes part of the magic, responding with applause, encouragement and the timeless “Wah! Wah!”.
You don’t need to be a connoisseur of the Urdu language or poetry, interest in good lyrics, whether from old Hindi songs or ghazals is enough to ensure a totally immersive experience.
Come, surrender to the magic of words, and let Rumaaniyat take you on a soulful journey through the romance of poetry.
