Get up close and personal over a literary lunch with Singapore Literature Prize winner and the first Arts House Literary Fellow, Marylyn Tan, and Philippine National Book Award winning crime writer, F.H. Batacan. They discuss how Southeast Asian genre fiction, whether crime or speculative, need not be formulaic but, when coupled with astute research, can tackle multifaceted themes ranging from psychiatry and trauma to class divides and politics.
