Voice/Text Exploration with Lim Lenzo
Explore the intersection of voice and text through structured improvisation. This workshop utilises physical metaphors to unlock vocal potential, beginning with “Human Theremin”—where participants deconstruct pitch and volume by imagining one body as the instrument and the other as the player. Through the “Problem vs Solution” exercise, participants delve into how daily inquiries translate into spontaneous body language and random vocal responses. The process invites a light-hearted, humorous environment where participants can sense deeply and express freely. Due to the intensive nature of the vocal work, participants are encouraged to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Level: Open

Instructor Bio
Lenzo (@limlenzo) has always been interested in movement. From action and martial arts on TV shows to choreographies in video games. Currently, he is a freelance dance/movement artist. He conducts workshop during residencies such as MyDance Alliance SEA Choreolab and Miao Dance Artist in Residency.
Fun fact: Lenzo initially disliked the idea of "Dance" at a young age, finding it cheesy. However, after delving into the world of dance, he realised that his initial perception was limited. He gradually fell in love with dance and performing arts, discovering that it could be incredibly fun and cool.

These levels serve as a guide to help you find the best fit for your journey. They are not intended as barriers for those hungry to learn; however, we highly encourage all participants to honestly assess their physical readiness and movement foundation before signing up to ensure the best experience for themselves and the group.
Beginner
Recommended experience level: min. 6 months in movement-based classes.
Expectation: Sessions move at an accessible pace, focusing on fundamental patterns, coordination, and learning new sequences.
Intermediate
Recommended experience level: min 1 year consistent experience in dance or movement training.
Expectation: Physical stamina and mental agility. Expect more intricate phrase work, quicker pickups, and a deeper dive into the specific aesthetic and "groove" of the artist.
Advanced
Recommended experience level: High-level training; suitable for semi-professional and professional movers or participants with min. 2 years of experience in dance training.
Expectation: Artistic nuance and complexity. These workshops move at a professional pace, challenging participants with sophisticated material, performance-level energy, and advanced spatial awareness.
Open
Recommended experience level: Understanding of basic dance principles and a willingness to explore.
Expectation: Creative research and improvisation. These sessions are 100% process-based, prioritizing individual discovery, spontaneity, and the artist’s unique creative methodology over set choreography.

- Prices exclude the ticketing agent's booking fees.
- Once sold, tickets are strictly non-refundable or exchangeable unless the Singapore government mandates the closure of events in Singapore. Conditions of Entry
