Life Lessons with Ah Gong and Ah Ma, brings the “Human Library” concept to life, featuring six local senior practitioners from the theatre, entertainment, literary and culinary sectors. Five sharing sessions will take place on 22 and 23 November 2025.

Our speaker lineup includes Ng Wai Choy, Huang Qing Yuan, Pung Lu Tin, Jalyn Han and Lee Swee Har. Their rich expertise spans radio broadcasting, entertainment, literary arts, theatre and culinary and more. These living “books” will share captivating stories of their personal journeys, overcoming challenges, and contributing to the flourishing tapestry of Singapore’s Chinese cultural landscape. Come and be inspired by their wisdom and experiences in sessions filled with heartfelt stories and meaningful intergenerational connections.

Free with Refundable Deposit

For these programmes, patrons will be required to pay a $10 refundable deposit to secure their slot. The deposit will be marked for refunds when patrons enter the programme within 10 minutes of the session's start time. No-shows or latecomers will have their $10 deposit forfeited and their slot released to walk-in patrons.

To facilitate your refund, please ensure that your ticket is verified at the entrance. Refunds will be processed within 7 - 14 working days after the event has ended.

Terms of Ticket Sales

• Once sold, tickets are strictly non-refundable or exchangeable unless the Singapore government mandates the closure of events in Singapore. All information given is correct at the time of publishing, but is subject to change without prior notice. The Promoter reserves all rights to amend any terms and conditions without prior notice, and, in the event of any dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final.

Conditions of Entry

• No admission for infants in arms and children below 7 years old. 婴孩及7岁以下的孩童不得入场。
• All children must be accompanied by adults. 儿童须由成人陪伴。
• Tickets are required for all patrons. 所有参与者须持票入场。
• Recommended for children aged 12 and above. 节目适合12岁以上的儿童参与。

General

• In the interest of all patrons, latecomers will not be seated until a suitable break in the performance.
• Patrons are required to follow all house rules and regulations set out by the venue. The House Rules are displayed within the venue premises.
• No food and drinks are allowed in the venue.
• There will be no intermission for this event.

Photography / Videography Recording Rules

• Photography / videography without flash and audio recording are allowed for this event.
• Please note that photographs and videos of patrons may be taken at this event for use in our archival and publicity material.
