Late Seating Policy
Latecomers cannot be admitted until an appropriate break in the show. For shows without an intermission, latecomers may risk being denied entry if there is no appropriate break in the show.
Admission of Children
All children require a purchased ticket for entry. As a courtesy to other audience members, infants in arms and prams, and children below six years of age cannot be admitted for ticketed shows.

Viva LatiNUS
Founded in December 2009, Viva LatiNUS is a Latin dance team from the National University of Singapore, focusing on the five Latin styles - Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, and Paso Doble.

NUS Ballroom
Established in 1994, NUS Ballroom is the Standard Ballroom dance team of the National University of Singapore. The team specializes in the five international Standard Ballroom dances: Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep.
NUS Ballroom is committed to fostering a culture of respect, resilience, confidence, and sportsmanship among its members. The club aims to develop dancers who are not only technically proficient but also capable of performing at a competitive level. Embracing diversity and inclusivity, NUS Ballroom welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to discover and engage with the art of Standard Ballroom dance.
Sam Fong | Artistic Director
Sam Fong is an accomplished dance instructor with 30 years of experience in Latin American and Ballroom Standard dancing. Over two decades ago, he founded his dance studio in Singapore and has since taught at esteemed institutions such as NUS Viva Latinus and the Tanglin Club. His reputation attracts international students who value his expertise. Dedicated to nurturing potential, Sam inspires mastery while instilling appreciation for dance’s artistry and culture. Beyond teaching, he contributes through workshops, performances, and collaborations, raising dance standards and empowering students. His lasting legacy is defined by impactful instruction and inspiring future generations of dancers.
Germaine Gan | Choreographer
Germaine began her Latin dance training under her parents at The Moving Artistry, and went on to attain her International Baccalaureate under scholarship at School of the Arts, Singapore, where she trained in both contemporary and ballet. To date, she has clinched over 100 finals and wins in both local and international competitions such as the 2022 WDO World Championships in Italy, and more recently the 2024 Taiwan Asia Dance Tour and Singapore National Championships.
As an alumni of Viva LatiNUS, she has coached, mentored and actively choreographed for the team, and performed for productions such as CAC+US (2015 – 2016), Viva Gold 2015 – Noches De Caribe (2015), VVP2019:Quarterl/fe (2019), VivaED (2023) and Dance of Destiny (2025). She hopes to inspire others through her passion for dance and aims to push her students to get out of their comfort zone and strive to be the best that they can be.
Jovyn Low | Choreographer
Jovyn Low is a highly accomplished dance instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience. His approach combines technical precision with a strong emphasis on artistic expression, shaping well-rounded dancers who excel in both skill and performance.
Committed to continuous growth, Jovyn hones his craft by learning from world-class ballroom dancers and cross-training with top coaches across various dance genres. This dedication ensures his teaching remains dynamic, relevant, and at the forefront of dance education.
Since 2017, Jovyn has served as the head coach of NUS Ballroom at the National University of Singapore. Through his mentorship, he has made a lasting impact on the ballroom dance community, inspiring and elevating every dancer who trains under his guidance.
Nicholas Yue | Choreographer
Nicholas began dancing at 18 with no prior experience, but his passion and drive quickly took him to the international stage. After years of rigorous training and competition, he has earned multiple international awards and is now regarded as one of Singapore’s top ten-dancers, excelling in both Standard and Latin Ballroom.
An alumnus of NUS Ballroom, Nicholas remains an active force within the team as a coach, mentor, and choreographer. He works closely with head coach Jovyn Low to guide students in mastering Standard Ballroom techniques while inspiring a deep appreciation for the art of dance.
His recent piece, The Tangled Heart, featured in Viva LatiNUS’ Dance of Destiny, showcases his choreographic talent. Known for his technical insight, attention to detail, and trademark humor, Nicholas continues to inspire both on and off the dance floor.
Amitayus Lim | Choreographer
Amitayus (Ami) began his dance journey in primary school through Chinese dance, where his passion for the performing arts took root. At NUS Ballroom, he stood out as a dedicated dancer, representing the team in multiple competitions with outstanding results.
Now an alumnus, Ami remains an integral part of the community as a mentor and choreographer. Renowned for his strong command of Standard Ballroom techniques, he continues to guide younger dancers, offering support beyond regular instructor sessions to help them refine their skills and prepare for competitions and performances.
Ami is also recognised for his innovative choreography that seamlessly blends various dance styles. His creative works—such as The Great Gatsby(YNC Showcase 2022) and A Lovely Night (NUSS Christmas Ball 2024)—have left a lasting impression on the team’s repertoire, showcasing his unique artistic vision and dedication to the craft.
Shaun Laclemence | Choreographer
Shaun began his Ballroom journey just a year ago as a Year 1 student at the National University of Singapore and now serves as the Training Director of NUS Ballroom. Despite his relatively short time in the sport, Shaun’s passion and dedication have distinguished him both as a dancer and choreographer. He choreographed his own Waltz and Tango routines for the 13th TDA Dancesport Competition, demonstrating creativity and technical precision. Beyond performing, Shaun contributes actively to the club’s growth as a teaching assistant for beginner classes, working alongside instructors Jovyn and Nick to guide new dancers in developing a strong foundation in Standard Ballroom techniques.
