Antara Dua: Between Two Choices, A Destiny Prevails explores the intersections between Indian and Malay mythologies through Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Dikir Barat. By drawing parallels between the stories and motivations of key figures in popular folklore, the production brings to light the shared humanity that binds differing cultures
This production is a first-time collaboration between NUS Indian Dance and NUS Dikir Barat. Antara Dua comprises three standalone pieces, two by each of the groups separately, and a joint, interdisciplinary finale.

Established in 1977 by the late Mrs Santha Bhaskar, NUS’ longest-serving artistic tutor, has led NUS Indian Dance for over 40 years, building a solid repertoire for the group, with over 100 pieces performed on and off campus. Currently, Indian Dance is led by Ms Swarna Varsha Gurumoorthy as of 2023, exploring a myriad of themes through Indian classical dance.
