Join senior editor and founder of Unfolding Edits, Ana Fletcher, for this 90-minute talk on the art and craft of literary editing.
Drawing on 15 years of experience working with bestselling and prize-winning authors across fiction and nonfiction, Ana will share insights into what literary editors actually do - from shaping a manuscript on the page to advocating for an author’s creative vision in the wider publishing world.
Through real-life examples, we’ll explore the kinds of editorial decisions made behind the scenes, the responsibilities that come with the role, and the collaborative partnership between editor and author.
The session will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A.
