About the programme:
Once Upon a Dance
“Experience the rhythm of India’s timeless tales.”
Join us for a unique storytelling experience where the classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Kathak bring India’s timeless tales to life. Inspired by the rich traditions of Panchatantra and Jataka stories, this community program transforms age-old narratives of wisdom, courage, and compassion into movement, rhythm, and expressive gestures. In the warm, intimate setting of our studio, audiences are invited to connect closely with the stories, witnessing the power of dance as a medium for storytelling, cultural reflection, and shared joy. Celebrate the art of narrative through rhythm and motion.
About the Artist:
Kalpavriksha Fine Arts (KFA), a non-profit founded in 2016, preserves and evolves Bharatanatyam and Kathak through impactful productions, comprehensive training, and arts-led community engagement. With over 200 students, KFA fosters meaningful artistic experiences inspired by the aesthetic and cultural essence of traditional arts.
