Synopsis

Resound Collective is thrilled to welcome back cellist Qin Li-Wei for a captivating concert featuring Jean Françaix’s virtuosic Concert Variations for Cello, C.P.E. Bach’s expressive Cello Concerto in A major, and Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”. Blending diverse styles from classical sensitivity to modern wit and revolutionary spirit, this performance continues Qin Li-Wei’s remarkable musical journey with re:Sound, under the leadership of Yang Shuxiang.

This marks Qin Li-Wei’s third collaboration with re:Sound, following memorable appearances in 2019 and 2023. In Standing on the Shoulders of Giants (2019), he performed Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, and in Three Concertos with re:Sound (2023), he brought warmth and clarity to Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C major. We’re delighted to have him back on stage this August. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear him in concert once again.
