For our 46th concert, The NUSChoir invites our audience to witness our transformation through the seasons. As a celebration of life, Seasons represents the cycles of change that shape our evolution over the years. Our growth is defined by every moment, big and small, but even as the seasons turn, our choir will always retain its heart as a community, united as one voice through our love for music.
Much like the changing seasons, our concert features a diverse repertoire. From Eric Whitacre's larger-than-life composition "Nox Aurumque" to Samo Vovk's down-to-earth "Ta Na Solbici", Seasons is a colourful exploration of life's various experiences. It symbolises the struggles we endure and the joys that we share throughout times of transition, all of which allow us to develop our artistic potential to the fullest.
In harmony with this theme, our programme is divided into four seasons. Summer begins with a gentle reflection of the sweet memories and sweeter friendships that define our choral community, before rousing us into the fervent passions that drive us to greater heights. Following it, Autumn arrives in a turbulent gust, representing the harsh adversities we weathered together during phases of uncertainty. Winter symbolises a period of hope and healing, offering us a space to rejuvenate our spirits and reminding us of our purpose. Finally, Spring blossoms into a festive celebration, as we flourish and rejoice over our new beginnings, anticipating the future ahead of us.
Seasons traces our journey through the ages, sharing the fruits of our labour with our audience. It promises that no matter the season, The NUSChoir will continue to thrive, nurturing our artistic legacy and forging our own path forward.
